As you can see from the site background, the primary focus of this site is our family. The names included are members of our family from our parents down, however on Magaly’s side it only includes those of the family living here in the US.
Albums
In an effort to expedite the sharing of photos the albums often contain raw photos. By raw I mean the good the bad and the ugly. Out of focus shots, others rife with motion blur and/or red eyes, may not have been trashed before uploading.
The purpose is to get the pictures of the event out to those interested in seeing them, not to demonstrate our photography skills (or in my case, the lack thereof).

Word Press
A CMS was not my first choice, but I decided that it was the best choice to allow the focus to be on the content rather than the technical challenges of building the site myself. I have been known to poke and prod the themes I use, although that happens less often than it has in the past.
Hardware and Connection
The site runs on a server that lives in our spare bedroom, so any bandwidth issues can be blamed on the peculiarities of Cable internet. My 50/10 megabit business connection is often choked to around 25/10 in the evenings. At least the 10 megabit outbound connection (the one that feeds everyone viewing the site) remains relatively constant.
The server is CentOS with VirtualBox VM on an HP G6 Server(Dual quad core XEON processors with 32G of RAM).
